Self-Storage Brokerage Marcus & Millichap Appoints Senior Vice President to Washington, D.C., Office

Marcus & Millichap (M&M), a commercial real estate firm with offices throughout Canada and the United States, named Robert “Bobby” Bloch as senior vice president of its Washington, D.C., office. He'll focus on self-storage property acquisitions and dispositions, according to a press release.

Bloch has more than 30 years of investment-sales, management and business-development experience. He was previously an executive director for Cushman & Wakefield, where he specialized in self-storage in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast states. Since 2013, he’s completed more than $800 million in industry transactions.

“The addition of Bobby extends the hiring momentum we’ve been engaged in over the past 18 months as we continue to expand our support for clients across all property types in markets throughout North America,” said Brian Hosey, senior vice president and division manager for M&M. “Bobby’s extensive network of relationships and deep knowledge of the self-storage industry further strengthens our presence in the mid-Atlantic region and gives us the opportunity to offer our services to even more investors.”

M&M specializes in advisory services, financing, investment sales and research, with 81 offices in Canada and the United States. The company closed 7,546 transactions in 2023, with a sales volume of approximately $43.6 billion.
